Please tell the Board of Governors why you have chosen to apply, specifically, to Nomahegan Swim & Tennis Club. What do you hope to get out of your membership? What should the board know about you (and your family, if applicable) when considering your application?
I hereby apply for membership in the Nomahegan Swim & Tennis Club (the Club), Westfield, New Jersey. Please consider me for immediate membership, or if there is no vacancy, for a place on the waiting list.
Two letters of recommendation from current members should also accompany this application in order for it to be processed.
I understand that:
1. I must pay the application fee of $200 before my application is considered complete. This fee is non-refundable, even if I withdraw my name from the waiting list.
2. if my application is accepted, and before I can become a member of the Club and entitled to the privileges thereof, I will be required to purchase a Certificate of Indebtedness of the par value then being offered by the Club.
3. the terms and conditions of the Certificate of Indebtedness are set forth in and controlled by the By-Laws of the Club, as in effect and amended from time to time by the Club.
4. before I can become a member of the Club and entitled to the privileges thereof, I must pay in full the annual dues in the amount required for the then current season, and I am required to subscribe in writing to the By-Laws and Rules and Regulations of the Club;
5. in the event I do not comply with the foregoing requirements within ten (10) days of being requested to do so by the Club, this application and any approval thereof by the Club will automatically lapse and the Club may retain my application fee without any further obligation to me.
6. in the event my application is accepted, annually thereafter, I shall on the form provided certify as to the relatives residing in my household who are requesting to be considered as members of the Club, their member classification and the total amount of annual dues to be payable in accordance with schedule of dues from time to time established by the Board of Governors;
7. letters of recommendation concerning me and my family are required to be submitted by a proposer and a seconder, each being a voting member in good standing and accompanying my application.
